todays recommendation listening: Toking Dozing, by Feng Suave.

how often do we all talk about how social media is not real life? thats common knowledge these days.

but even i get swept up into the world of the internet, still. i watched a video of somebody of perfect daily routine, and i think i’ll never be like that & get that shit together like that. the whole thing is very unrealistic, but still we envy these people. because their life seems so satisfying, productive, efficient, organized, picture perfect. but realistically, theyre not showing their lazy moment such scrolling tiktok for 2 hours, when they werent in the mood to cook themselves for breakfast instead ordering gofood. theyre not showing those moments when theyre not perfect, when the schedule is not perfect.

the truth is, a lot of us dont have the energy or motivation to have a picture perfect routine. i almost feel like, having a picture perfect routine is like a full-time job within itself. having all those perfect products, aesthetically pleasing cooking pans, like having all that stuff and keeping up that sort of image of picture perfect life is sort of a full time job.

it can be really hard at times to watch the people who do live their lives on the internet. it can make you feel like you havent done your shit together. when in reality, you might, it just might look different from other people.

i think the pressure to have your shit together is a little bit unhealthy and i think theres an obsession with it on the internet.
